Position Overview
CBC is seeking an experienced and dedicated ADHD/Autism Clinical Psychologist to join our team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to clients with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), develop personalized treatment plans, and contribute to a collaborative, supportive clinical environment. Depending on your expertise and interests, you may also supervise trainees, conduct consultations, and pursue leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Clinical Care:
- Provide individual, group, family, or parent sessions tailored to client needs and goals.
- Conduct assessments, diagnosis, and case conceptualization for clients with ADHD, ASD, and related conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based treatments, including CBT and DBT.
- Utilize progress-tracking measures to inform treatment.
- Consult and communicate with collateral sources to enhance client care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
Supervisory Duties:
- Supervise trainees, including graduate externs, interns, post-docs, or junior staff, as assigned.
- Attend monthly supervisor meetings and contribute to training and teaching activities.
Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training, peer consultation, and team meetings.
- Attend CBC’s educational sessions to earn continuing education credits.
- Pursue leadership opportunities aligned with expertise and interest.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with licensure in New York State (or eligibility for licensure).
- Competency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of ADHD and ASD.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with CBT; experience with DBT strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to treat a wide range of psychological disorders across various age groups.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team orientation.

Preferred Skills
- Experience using evidence-based treatments for clients with ADHD and ASD.
- Knowledge of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).
- Ability to provide training or consultations to schools, organizations, or businesses.
Physical and Working Conditions
- Regular interaction with clients and staff in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Professional Weekly Expectations
- Deliver 24 professional service units per week over 47 weeks annually.
Reporting Structure
- This position reports to the Clinical Director.
